One of the most visited water castles in Germany, it is frequently featured in tourist books. The Mespelbrunn Castle was restored and rebuilt several times and the way it looks today it was rebuilt by Peter Echter von Mespelbrunn and his wife Gertraud von Adelsheim in 1569.</p>
